
Kanchana S Shruthiranjani
Creative Director
Shruthiranjani hails from a family of musicians. She started learning music at the age of 3 years from her father, Karnataka Kalashri Kanchana V Subbarathnam, a renowned violinist. She began performing on stage when she was four years old, and specializes in Avadhana Pallavi, which she learned from her uncle Dr. R.S. Nandakumar.
Shruthiranjani oversees all teacher training and certification at SaPa. A successful lawyer by qualification, Shruthiranjani also holds a Vidwath in Carnatic singing and Carnatic violin (she holds the first rank in both streams). She is an empanelled artiste of ICCR, an All-India Radio musician, and the recipient of the Senior Performer Scholarship from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD).

Vivek Sadasivam
Creative Director
Vivek is a performing Carnatic musician, A-Grade All India Radio singer, and empanelled ICCR artist hailing from the direct Shishya Parampara of Muthuswami Dikshitar. He heads SaPa’s centre in Chennai, and works with the founding team to develop the curriculum for in-person and online courses, train educators, and lead workshops and collaborations. He is involved in the making of The SaPa Show, a weekly television program aimed at teaching Indian and global music to young children.
A chemical engineer by qualification, Vivek found his calling in music and decided to pursue it full-time.

Veena Anand
Chief Operating Officer
Veena holds a dual master’s degree in leadership and educational change from National Institute of Education (NIE) | Nanyang Technological University and Teachers College, Columbia University. Her passion lies in seeding sustainable and scalable change in the educational space. She’s a strong advocate for learning through music, and at SaPa, she is conducting research on how it impacts the social and emotional well-being of children.
With an MBA in finance and a master’s degree in economics, Veena started her career as a financial consultant at IT firms. She later moved into teaching and teacher training, and has eight years of experience working in schools and firms — both in Bangalore and Singapore.

Nisha Sridhar
Head of Administration and Operations
Nisha’s objective at SaPa is to ensure that both students and teachers get an incredible experience being engaged with SaPa. To this end, she sets up and manages processes that make the day to day operations both effective and efficient.
Previously, Nisha was a software developer at Zoho and Sierra Atlantic, before taking a break to raise two daughters, who are themselves students at SaPa. As a parent, she has been associated with SaPa for close to a decade, and she draws on that experience and insight to make her current role more impactful.
Nisha is a gold medalist in MCA and BSc Electronics from Osmania University.
